One spring day in 1972, a 34-year-old determined woman with her hair in bunches strode into Åfors glassworks and stated that she would make glass her way. She had found some paints in her workshop which had at one time been the factory´s section for glass painting. Now painted glass was altogether forgotten and unfashionable. Glassworks were men´s territory and it certainly wasn´t customary to just stride and make demands.
